Prior to moving here, we would often walk along the lane, looking up at the
houses and across the fields thinking what a lovely environment it would be to
raise the children . We have been fortunate enough to live here over 10 years
now, completely renovating both inside and out. It feels like your living in
the countryside, yet the heart of Allesley village is just a 5 minute walk
away.
The loft conversion, completed in 2019, is our favourite room. It has lowered
windows allowing an amazing outlook to the rear garden.
Each year the Allesley festival procession and Coventry half marathon takes
place either on or alongside the lane. Its great to cheer on the runners at
the 5 mile point !
For us as a family, being surrounded by nature was the most enjoyable
experience for us and we look forward to the next family being able to enjoy
that as much as we did!
The thing we will most miss about living here is the location, it truly is
amazing. The sense of countryside – calm, quiet and surrounded by nature.
However it is time for someone else to enjoy this home, as we move on to a
home more suited to our future needs.
We have put so much effort into making the home a special place to live, in
keeping with the amazing location and views. This includes a loft conversion
in 2019, which has a separate bathroom and lowered windows in the bedroom to
enjoy the rear views.
Another highlight was removing 30 tonnes of earth to allow for the large patio
area that we now enjoy, which benefits from south facing evening sun.
All of the house at some stage has been ‘back to brick’ and completely
renovated, with the Worcester combi boiler serviced annually.
