The town of Ebbw Vale is located at the head of the valley formed by the Fawr
tributary of the River Ebbw. It is the largest town and the administrative
centre of the Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council region. The town was
transformed during the Industrial Revolution being at one time home to one of

community that enjoys good road communication links with the A465 Heads of the
