A bright and pristine five bedroom Victorian terrace, brimming with vintage
style and colourful character over three storeys. You have a trio of
bathrooms, large through lounge and private rear garden. All handily located
for Wanstead Flats.
Once the favoured playground of Tudor Kings, and still the wildest wide open
natural space for miles around, Wanstead Flats starts less than a half mile on
foot from your front door. A perfect escape from the city.
If you lived here. . .
You'll have a shade under 1300 square feet of artfully appointed, welcoming
living space behind that handsome brick frontage. Highlights are numerous,
with dramatic splashes of colour and lovingly restored original features
everywhere. Let's start in your 240 square foot through lounge. Dual aspect
and full of light, burnt orange walls contrast with a striking black vintage
hearth and mantel, as blonde engineered hardwood flows underfoot.
Your kitchen/diner to the rear is just as striking and every bit as generous.
Artisanal timber cabinetry with chunky white worktops flanks you as you enter,
with a large Dublin sink sitting opposite a double width chef's oven. The
dining area's finished in soft pink, basking in natural light from the
skylight and French doors to the rear. Throw these back to bring the outside
in and step into your private garden for a patio and lawn all encircled by
timber fencing. Back inside, a chic and sleek spare shower room sits off the
diner.
Head upstairs for your principal bedroom - a 170 square foot double with
striking statement wall opposite a wealth of floor to ceiling storage and
vintage timber floorboards running underfoot. The storey's completed by two
more similarly stylish sleepers and the family bathroom - blending a pale pink
paintjob with smoky grey tilling. Into your loft conversion now, and your
third bathroom, a gloriously bright affair in white with walk in rainfall
shower. Bedroom four is skylit and pristine in white, while your fifth and
final bedroom features a sage green finish and rooftop views. Gorgeous.

A word from the owners. . . .
"We love our house. The garden gets sun all day and it’s beautiful in the
summer to sit and have dinner with the patio doors open. We love the loft
conversion too and the bright and airy extra shower room. There’s a definite
sense of community here. Great area for kids with good nurseries and schools.
Many travel from further afield to go to the playground on Cann Hall Road
which is less than 5 minutes walk. There’s a nice cafe there too. One major
change since we arrived is the opening of the Elizabeth Line. You can walk to
Maryland in 15 to 20 minutes so the journey to town can now be done in just
over half an hour. For green space, we are spoilt. Wanstead flats are under 10
minutes walk away and a great place to go running or for a kick about. In
spring you can cycle to Wanstead Park to see the bluebells which is
spectacular. Victoria Park is also an easy cycle away in 20 minutes or so, as
is Epping Forest. We have a few really great pubs too. The Holly Tree is just
by the flats and has a mini steam train for toddlers. The Red Lion on
Leytonstone High Road has loads of space and a big beer garden, which is
lovely in summer. Singburi on Leytonstone High Road is now not a very well
kept secret, but it’s the best Thai in London. And Stratford Westfield is
pretty close if that’s your bag, definitely helpful for transport links! All
in all, we couldn’t wish for a better area to live and will miss our
neighbours greatly!"
