**Property History**
The property was originally designed by Hird & Brooks, Architects from Penarth
and when built in 1978 for the then owner, T R Watts, it was one of their few
well known designs built with a stone facing. The property was not built to
the original consented size, but was extended in 1983 to provide 180sq. m
(1, 937sq. ft) of accommodation with 3 bedrooms, a lounge, dining room, snug,
kitchen/breakfast room and utility plus 45sqm. Of external storage/garage.
Wenvoe Castle was a castle and country estate between Barry and Wenvoe, in the
Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. The principal building on the site was a vast
mansion house created in 1776 to 1910 by Robert Adam.
The Wenvoe Castle Golf Club was established in 1936, by the owner of the
manor, Hugh Jenner, and continues to be used as such. The remainder of the
1777 building, now Wenvoe Castle Golf Club, was listed at Grade II and
represents the east and north wings or former Stable Block.
