A word froom the owner. . .
"We have loved our time here in Plaistow. The street is a friendly community
and we have made friends with a few different neighbours living on the street.
We have enjoyed exploring the area; our weekends have been filled with bike
rides along the greenway to Hackney Wick and the Olympic Park; visiting the
farmer markets in Leytonstone or taking our son to the lovely library at the
bottom of the road which always hosts community
activities. We found our favourite butcher, T&J Whenlock, the only original
shop front on Barking Road who minces your meat to order. There's so many
great cheap casual and authentic regional Indian restaurants, from Saravanaa
Bhavan in East Ham and Lahori Nihaari in Upton Park. Forest Gate is a short
hop on the bus, where there is a lovely wine bar and craft breweries as well
as the open spaces of Wanstead Flats. We have enjoyed having outdoor space
which gets plenty of sunlight; growing our own vegetables; and having bbqs on
the newly laid decking. The commute to work is a short 10 minute walk to the
tube station, which is pleasantly quiet. Driving out of London on the weekends
is so easy and can be on the North Circular in 10 minutes. "
