We have thoroughly enjoyed our time living in John Place. \
With two young boys, it was important for us to have proximity to local
amenities. As it is so conveniently located for Tesco, the local school, the
doctor’s and the library, the location was a big selling point for us and the
kids. However, it was when we saw the unusually massive garden, we realised
this would be perfect for the boys and for us! The deck has been the scene of
many al fresco lunches and dinners and we have made the most of this great
aspect. Although it is a communal garden, we are quite often the only ones who
use it.
The property itself has more than ample space for us as a family and it was
refurbished just as we moved in, so it felt like a new build apartment. We’ve
recently freshened up the decor too, so it definitely feels like a new
property. We feel it is perfect for a first time buyer or a family with young
kids like us.
The final selling point to mention (which can’t be made clear by pictures!) is
the fact we share the building with some wonderful neighbours. This creates a
real sense of community and adds so much to the homely feeling we’ve enjoyed
during our time here. We’ll certainly be sad to leave!

What an amazing apartment! Built in 2005 by the highly respected developer
Millgate Homes, this property was built, and has been kept to a really high
standard throughout. Located in a block of only six apartments, John Place is
a very peaceful setting being located on a no through road. The development is
surrounded by trees which gives you beautiful green views out of most windows.
As you walk through the communal door you are met by an impressive hallway
with natural wood features, new carpets and it is due to be redecorated soon.
The reception room has dual aspect windows and double opening doors which lead
onto the composite decking area, which will happily accommodate an outside
table and four chairs. The open plan kitchen has been updated in the past few
years and boasts plenty of cupboard space, a gas hob, under counter sink, and
for me the all important dishwasher! The master bedroom is a really good size
and has a built in double wardrobe, you can easily accommodate your normal
bedroom furniture whilst the bay window gives you the option to house a desk
if you need to work from home. The master bedroom's en suite shower room has a
modern white suite, tiled floors and a window for when you need to let the
steam out. The second bedroom could easily be used as a full time double
bedroom or study/hobby area depending on your needs. The family bathroom also
boasts a modern white suite with shower over bath, tiled floor and heated
towel rail. There is also a good size storage cupboard in the hallway which
houses the combi boiler and is a great place to hide your vacuum and other
similar items.
The communal areas and grounds are really well cared for and are maintained
regularly. There is one allocated parking space and a few visitors spaces
available for when guests come over. There is a communal storage shed on site
which will allow you to house bikes and larger items such as the odd suitcase.
This apartment really needs to be viewed to be truly appreciated.
