A few words from the owner:
What do you love about your home?
I loved the flat from the moment I walked in even though at the time it was
desperately in need of a total refit. I've spent so many nights sitting out on
the fire escape and it's like a different world out the back from the bustle
of Balls Pond Road at the front. It's so quiet and secluded, that we strung
fairy light around the railing and got a small table a chairs which made it
perfect for evening drinks. In the summer the courtyard garden at the back is
great for bbq's. Aside from that I always loved the layout of the flat. When
most people I knew had one bed flats with a combined living room and kitchen,
I had separate rooms with the kitchen being a real highlight as it's great for
cooking in and I often sat at the kitchen table watching the sunset. The
bedroom is also at the back of the property so it was quiet at night.
Why are you selling?
I had 17 wonderful years at the flat and i've been renting it out since we
moved out a few years ago but as our family is expanding we are now moving out
of town so sadly it's time to sell.
What do you love about the area?
Dalston as it is now has changed so much since I moved in in '98/99 but it
still has an amazing buzz and more bars, clubs and restaurants than you could
ever need. Great local pubs (including our favourite, The Talbot), great
transport links from the overground (easy to take the overground for granted
but it didn't exist when I first moved in) to busses including the 38 into
town and also very close to Islington, Stoke Newington, Shoreditch and the
City.
